All about Aeration: Part 1

Aeration : The Secret to a Healthy Lawn
The Secret to a Healthy Lawn finding a beautiful lawn , aeration is classified as one of the best kept secrets . This tactic lawn care , often overlooked , opens the way to a healthy lawn that stands up to drought , diseases and everyday wear and tear .

What is aeration ?
When a lawn is aerated , it pierces (and beneath the earth ) either by introducing granules in the short grass and earth or the removal of a small loaf of land , also known as cover.

Aeration has several results :

The oxygen can reach the roots of grass and earth.
Fertilizers and nutrients can penetrate the ground and into contact with the roots .
The water soaks the ground more effectively , reaching areas of the grass roots.
Straw is physically altered and bankruptcy.
The compacted soil is loosened.
Why aeration is necessary
If left alone, the grass grow high and undulating , and roots sink deep . These deep roots penetrate the soil and form an anchor , allowing the grass to withstand the summer heat and drought with ease. However, the typical homeowner leaves the grass alone. Instead, cut and match and we started preparing a lovely stretch of bright green . The activities associated with the maintenance of lush grass combine to compress the soil , limiting the growth of root and prevents the roots from penetrating the earth .

If a lawn grows for years without aeration , the soil beneath it will eventually harden and reduce the effect of fertilizers , rainwater and supplemental irrigation . As the ground hardens, the grass grows less , is refined and eventually dies .
